Can I install Octopus over my existing hockey tape?

Yes. This is one of the main advantages of Octopus. If you already have a knob shape you love, keep it and roll Octopus directly over the top.

Do I need to remove my current grip?

No, if you like the shape. Octopus is designed to follow the profile underneath, allowing you to keep the setup your hand is already used to.

How do I install it?

Build or keep your preferred knob shape, then use the included Octopus Roll-On Tool to roll the silicone sleeve onto the shaft. No heat gun, boiling water, glue or lubricant is required. Shape it. Roll it. Lock in.

Do I need an overgrip on top?

No. In racket sports, an overgrip is used because players hold the racket with a bare hand. In hockey, your glove contacts the Octopus silicone surface directly. Octopus is the final grip layer.

Does Octopus use glue?

No. The Octopus sleeve has no glue on it, so there is no sticky residue against your glove palms.

How much does it weigh?
